Card information: Monteverde is a genuine sanctuary of flora and fauna with an absolute protection over its plants, wild life and extraordinary cloud forest.
Got this postcard with great stamps from Krislan in 2008, a fellow Filipino postcrosser working in Costa Rica. He shared "Monteverde means 'green moutain' in Spanish while Costa Rica means 'rich coast'. As Filipinos, we don't need a visa to get here. Filipinos can enter this country using a valid Philippine passport and we are given 30 days of stay. If we want to extend our stay, leave the country for at least 72 hours and return for a renewed 30-day of stay. What I do is I cross the border to Nicaragua every month."
